Digital Aircraft Design Engineering With The j2 Universal Tool-Kit

j2 Aircraft Dynamics has released a white paper discussing various elements of how its j2 Universal Tool-Kit software is being applied into the digital engineering world in aircraft design. This paper provides information on the various modules and API’s that enable it to create digital twins, allow it to run off-line analyses and provide full version control, provides guidance on how best to protect and use legacy code and data within the j2 framework using two powerful API’s, how the batch analysis capability can run the entire flight test programme off-line and evaluate unknowns providing a significant flight safety assessment capability in advance of any flight test and how the same digital models can be connected to any hardware in the loop (HiL) simulation equipment for pilot assessment up to and including level D standards.
