The j2 Pilot Software provides an “out of the box” simulation environment driven directly from the j2 Universal Tool Kit software. Connect in USB controls and touch screen to create a simple effective, low-cost simulator. This capability already supports a number of commercial visual systems namely CIGI, X-Plane, and P3D. Integrated Customisable Cockpit Displays are provided.

For larger simulator platforms, and more specific hardware implementations, the j2 Pilot Software Development Kit (SDK) is designed to enable users of j2 aircraft models to connect into any simulator platform available in the market, right through to full mission simulator.

Conventional Simulator setups are hardcoded requiring time and cost to change the embedded aircraft model. Using j2 Pilot SDK as host enables a variety of different aircraft models to be flown through a single simulator platform without having to pay for constant modification and rebuild of the source code.  This capability allows multiple variants of an aircraft or multiple aircraft to be selected, flown, and evaluated at will.
