Windows Management
Everyone has their own way of working and preferences when it comes to how things look on their screen and should be laid out. The j2 Universal Framework allows users to define how their work is laid out and the screen views that best suit them.
There are several docked (by default) Information Windows that can be configured.
These include:
- Messages - This presents summary information from the software about the actions being performed.
- Debug Messages - More detailed information that can be sent to j2 Aircraft Dynamics for software debugging purposes
- Workspace - Displays the projects that are open along with the version information of that selected
- Units - Change the units for data input and display.
- Find Results - Display the results from searching through a model. Selecting an item will go straight to that point on the model
- Validation Results - If a Validation Error or Warning is Generated it is displayed here.
- Attachments - List the files that are attached to a Structural Item
- Properties - Main Window for data entry and display
- Tasks - Generate workflow and process project messages
These windows can be moved and docked wherever desired.
The central section is then available for project information.
Users can create and share colour templates too.
