j2 Pilot v7 Released
j2 Aircraft Dynamics are pleased to announce the latest release of their universal simulation tool-kit j2 Pilot.
j2 Pilot is broken down in to 2 distinct sections.
The j2 Host that is responsible for taking the pilot controls from ANY hardware (DirectX/USB or UDP data packets) and flying ANY aircraft model within the j2 Database. The inputs and outputs can be configured to suite the specific aircraft and data distributed around the network. Integration with the Out the Window displays is via CIGI protocol. Information for the outside world such as gusts and wind shear can be uses to add additional effects to the flight dynamics. Flight models can be tuned up to Level-D standard using the j2 Universal Tool-Kit and any updates instantly flown on the Simulator.
The Simulator Displays enable the user to create fully configurable displays for the cockpit or data monitoring. Selections of Sliders and Gauges can be used to set-up dedicated cockpit displays or simple monitoring stations and Instructor Operating Stations (IOS).
In addition, a new companion plug-in for X-Plane has been released. This means that X-Plane can be used as a low-cost IG by working with the CIGI protocol.
